Cyprus for Greek speaking Cypriots only

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Actually, Makarios won the 1959 election with 66% of the vote, signifying an author who doesn't know what he's talking about. If you're such an Englishman, then perhaps you should stick to talking about stuff you know about – cricket, Yorkshire pudding or darts. Leave the rest of us who are Greeks alone. We don't wish to give up or dilute our Greek identity – which we've preserved for 3,500 years – for the sake of some multicultural garbage or to placate Turks, Englishmen or whoever. What a servile, colonised mind you have. Liberate yourself.

Thats just it! You/We haven't. We have GCs AND TCs.....Somewhere in my genes are the remnants of those neolithic "CYPRIOTS" that were.......Just the same as yours. Over the years you have migrated towards the greek culture and we to the Turkish culture. So for you to claim Cyprus as Greek is just wrong.

Where were you before 1571? Definitely not in Cyprus.

Where were you prior to your Greek mythological "colonization of Cyprus"?

What are you talking about? :? Cyprus was uninhabited before the Greeks arrived. 8)

Only your cranium was uninhabited and not much has changed since…

Last time I was in Cyprus there more English speakers, more Sri Lankans and Britons than I saw Greek speaking Cypriots lol, I thought I was in another State of Australia and perhaps it is the internet phenomenon that brought it all closer to one world but I seriously doubt that Cyprus is for the Greek speaking Cypriot. The number of inter racial marriages is an indication that people are moving on.

You may want to support the Turks in de-hellenizing Cyprus, but let me tell you something you already know, neo-Cypriotism was created post 1974, so you neo-Cypriots need to stop being economical with the truth. You're as bad as the Skopje folk for distorting history.

Don't be ridiculous. I do not wish union with Greece.

Also a "Kalamaras" is by no means a measure for greekness.

If Greek Cypriots didn't preserve their greek identity they would have vanished many centuries ago like the Phoenicians. We were born Greek Cypriots and we will die Greek Cypriots. You were born a Charlie and you will die a Charlie.

Given Cyprus is an island with an indigenous population stretching back millennia, many of whom aren't planning on going anywhere, I disagree.

Hermes keeps spouting the same drivel every other week. I dont understand why this Hermes character characterizes all Greek Cypri...oh, excuse me....Cherikidans as a people that look down on others. Look at what the twat stated:

A people that look down (and let’s not pretend we don’t) on Armenian Cypriots, Maronites and Jews (there are a few here believe it or not) can hardly be expected to accept Turkish speaking Cypriots as there equals

First off, my best friend in Cyprus is an Armenian Cypriot. Secondly, i do not look down on Jews. Thirdly, i will call my self what ever the f-ck i want. The Cyprus Mail is a joke.
