As with any other organization which rises (has risen) against what THEY perceive as oppression by an unwelcome power or an intrusion upon their lives, there is little point in engaging them in a violent confrontation since they have deeply rooted beliefs in the justice of their causes.
The conflicts of the past clearly indicate that 'subjugation' of a lesser force by a greater one, invariably leads to a discontent which festers through many generations.
The 'Irish Problem' bears testimony to that fact and lessons should be learned from the words contained in a 'Rebel Song' which states, "My Sons have Sons, as bold as were their Fathers, my four green fields WILL bloom once again" etc.
The message clearly illustrates that you cannot destroy the IDEA of what those in opposition regard as their 'Freedom from Tyranny'.
Therefore, kill the Sons and Daughters of the Taliban and allow the warriors who struggle for their rights, to die of old age, hopefully, the IDEA will die with them.
