Where did I ever defend the Ottomans?
On the contrary, I always try and make a point about how we fought to get rid of the Ottomans and how I despise nations that still take pride from their Imperial days and keep their monarchy alive as a symbol.
You do have a point up there my friend, I would never questions peoples right to fight for what they think is right, but we are talking about war here. In war you fight and you either win or you lose, no one will grant you victory because you think you deserve it.
People fight for self determination and if it is on the expense of other people, they will fight them too, never the less it is still a fight and deserve no sympathy if you fail.
Everyone has a right to fight for whatever they think is right, when the Armenians posed a threat to the Empire they were fought against, and when the TC's posed a threat against to what was supposed to become a Greek Cyprus, they too faced the consequences. But in all instances someone had to be victorious.
Yet only some people seem to like to roll back the time and only pick out bits of history they find useful for their cause today and claim it to be justice!
Show me a people who have been granted self determination or land, simply because they believe they deserve it?
