Nintendo Wii

Postby DANGAMAN » Wed Jul 28, 2010 4:35 pm

I am intending to buy my daughter a Nintendo wii for her birthday.

Is there anything more I need to know, such as some have a hard drive, others dont... What is the difference?

Buying from ebay UK is ok for use in Cyprus ?

Please help and give me any advise on who has the best prices, etc

Thanks in advance

Here's some advice, if you want a braindead, boring, lame, daughter, buy her a wii.
If you want a fun, interesting daughter, by her a playstation. The playstation 3 is good for little kids because it is fun but not the lame fun that nintendo has to offer.
If your daughter likes fun shoot-em-up video games, buy her a xbox360 (don't get the 250gb, it sucks!)

The playstation is a bit more expensive but it is good quality and is better than that american-japenese rubbish!

She is 9 and likes the motion games. In my view it beats sitting down still, playing video games or watching TV.

Thanks anyway.

Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 are introducing new motion games which contain better content, graphics, quality and more-for-your-money games.

All Wii consoles come with the same size hard drive. There currently is two Wii game consoles on the market. The White and the Black version. The difference here is that the Wii black version comes with the Wii motion plus accessory.

The Nintendo Wii Game console is a great choice and you are going to have fun with it as well. Two things that you may want to buy with the Wii console:

The Wii Remote requires two double A batteries. Buy Eneloop rechargeable double A batteries, preferably a pack that includes the Sanyo battery charger. It will be the best investment you will ever make. These particular batteries really last long after recharging them.

The Wii console is capable of a wireless connection for online gaming but if you do not have a wireless router, you can get your Wii system connected to the internet by buying a Wii LAN Adapter. A used Rocketfish LAN Adapter on E-Bay sells for around 4 Euros and it comes with a 6' Ethernet cable.

If you would like to know what game to buy for your kid, you can not go wrong with Mario Kart. It is the best selling kid game for the Nintendo Wii. Buy the game that includes the Wii Wheel accessory. You can play online with this game as well.

The Wii offers impressive motion control gaming for adults as well. I particularly like call of duty reflex edition.
