Cant seem to find any backpackers hostels in the likes of nicosia,larnaca,etc....do such establishments actually exist in cyprus???

I sometimes see posters around town advertising the cheap accomodation - by Cyprus standards - available at the establishment known as the Luxor Guesthouse, which is in St Andrew's Street right in the heart of Limassol old town. Some people have made comments about their stays at Luxor here:

I cannot exactly remember the prices quoted, but Luxor Guest House's phone number is (+357) 25362265, so you could always inquire.

Just checked that one out but its not a hostel with dormitory accomodation therefore a single traveller like myself would have to pay for both beds(in this case 20 euro)

At their own website, they are advertising dorm beds for 12 euro per night, and I can't add any more not really knowing the place.

Cyprus is not really geared to cater for this sort of market. It is more of a sun and sand package tour destination.

Confirmed that Kykko and Apostolos Andreas still have rooms for Pilgrims.

(even though the Pilgrims seem to arrive in 4x4s and Mercs)
