Name one or shut it!

Just to help you, Sevgul is one of my chums in the north. You can see her in the photo with a Greek Cypriot who has lost a son but did not turn out to be a little fascist like you.

Here is some more of my chums from the north. Like the photo above, this is a small abstract from the report on the bicommunal meeting we had on Thursday in Kontea. I am sorry it is in Greek.

Συνολικά, στην εκδήλωση τιμήθηκαν για την αρωγή τους στις προσπάθειες ανεύρεσης αγνοούμενων οι εξής: Ερτάν Ναμικεμάλογλου, Δημήτρης Χατζηπέτρου, Τάκης Χατζηγεωργίου, Αρτέμης Πούλλος, Σαβάς Καγιασάλ, Μουσταφά Γκιουρσέλ, Χριστίνα Παύλου Σολωμή, Κυριάκος Ανδρέου, Χουσεΐν Λατίφ Αμερικαλί, Γκιουνάι Ντεβετζίογλου, Ξενοφών Δημητρίου, Χασμέτ Οζμούσα, Ανδρέας Κωνσταντίνου, Αλί Μπαϊρακτάρ, Ανδρέας Σύζινος (my next door neighbour from my village Gypsos, whose father was executed in cold blood by TC's of B25 calibre), Αλί Εσενταγλί, Μαρία Γεωργιάδου και δύο ανώνυμοι Τουρκοκύπριοι.

I am no communist and no fan of Christofias, but of the two he is the one pushing for a Cypriot solution, while the other one, Eroglu, is more concerned with Turkey's interests. When he precluded any territorial adjustment because it would cause "dislocation", any property return becaue it would violate the rights of those "currently in possession" and presses for compensation at 1/10 of the value, then we know where he is coming from and that he is no magician.

What dumbfounds me is that he actually thinks that there might be a chance of the other side saying yes to any of that. He is no magician but he probably believes in magic.

I doubt he has any illusions of you saying yes to ANYTHING and I assure you that only very few of us do anymore. Talat is as GC-friendly as they come and even he f`ed up. As Gurion said: "There is a gulf, and nothing can bridge it".

And thats after the 28 mistous you get as a lump sum.

Its not your work thats the issue Banana, its that fact that you like to slate the very people who pay you this over your turks buddies and the GC tax payer (if there ever is such a thing). All the while holding us hostage in our own country.

As Kifeas has stated very eloquently, you are the other end of the extreme, so the facists are one, what name to we ascribe to you???

This is so unbelievable,I have to come out of retirement from CF to comment...You expect people who work for a government department to give up their democratic and human rights, and become a silent, cowardly witness to history...Great...!!!Now I understand why democracy and its freedoms are wasted on some people...People who are doing their best to convince the TCs they should join them in a full democracy GC style..

.Give us a break, and back to the political stone age you sprung from...

What did he earn the pension for if not for 'his work'?

Rolandis says the " truth " and the facts as he sees them which some people do not want to hear or want to put it under the carpet as to justify their own policies based on their own selfish interest. Self criticism has not harmed anyone and when this man tells the facts as they occured some do not like it and want to put the real facts under the carpet since we are all angels that have not done any single mistake over this 55 yearl old period

Facing up to it.....

Postby cymart » Tue Jul 27, 2010 11:34 am

As 'Paphitis' wrote last week under another thread,it is all the political leaders from Makarios onwards who have got Cyprus into the mess it is in now, mainly because they laboured under the illusions that they are some kind of super power and could play off the West again the Soviet Union during the cold war period etc.......when you are small and weak and vulnerable, you try to keep in with the bigger powers who have influence over you, rather than antagonise them, and that may well involve making some sacrifes such as allowing NATO to have a base in the Karpass,as they asked in the 1960's for example!
People like Rolandis are able to understand geo-politics and not blinded by naivety and pseudo nationalism-if you read what he says without that kind of biased mindset, much of it makes sense, even though of course it does not suit the ideals and philosophies of some people!
But having said that,Rolandis also had some stupid ideas and I was not afraid to tell him so,the Aphrodite statue at Petra Tou Romiou being one of them!

Why don’t you foolhardy Rolandis supporters tell us about all the great things Rolandis achieved while in office?

He did the unthinkable, for a start, he resigned! Any other Cypriot would have bent over and carried on as you were.
