Would you marry a Non-Cypriot?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

A Jewish gentleman and a Scottish Protestant lassie married and had a very happy life for the first couple of years, however, they decided to start a new business as equal partners.

Last I heard, they both went blind watching each other.

 ... Anyway ... regretfully, I must agree with our resident a-hole (and I mean this endearingly), GR. My advice to couples contemplating marriage: think long and hard about how much you value your culture. If it's high on the list of priorities, then ask yourself if your partner embraces it or simply tolerates it. Further, ask yourself how much your willing to comprise your traditions. Then have a discussion about it with your partner. Long engagements are good for that. This is not at all to imply that intercultural marriages cannot work; they work in a different way.

Indeed, Nikitas, liking one's partner is key. Equally as important is respect. Love? Please define it for me (perhaps this could be the topic of Oracles next thread). :D

One must not confuse people on the CF and who hide behind their 'nom de Guerre's' or should it be 'nom de plume'. They could be the exact opposite of what they portray..............apart from me ofcourse. I am the genuine article.

Do you directly address "your yinaika" as such? :D

Race, colour, religion, ethnicity is not important in love, provided she brings you ironed undies and slippers and meets your other needs.

Having said the my wife is part Cypriot. Just enough so I can tolerate her. I am all for mongrel love. Half cypriots are often more successful than Cypriot princesses and Cypriot boutiropeda.
