They can only get funds if they get punters. A lot of those punters are GCs from the RoC.

A lot of them ain't "GCs".

It's people like gasbag and other Brits who want to "taste Turkey" without, effectively, leaving EU territory. I've said before, if Brits come over to Cyprus (legitimately) they shouldn't be allowed to "cross over". It's a bit of a laugh or a game to them to feel the "excitement" of such an adventure. Yet, they are the ones who turn round and accuse GCs of carrying out these activities.

If you take away 'freedom of movement' where does that leave you. Another pariah state.

Yes the "north" is a pariah sate where "freedom of movement" has been segregated according to ethnicity! Have you been asleep?

Joining the EU and the continuation of the occupation by gun-toting Turks who would racially segregate Greeks as worse than the plague, makes this situation a whole lot different to a normal EU zone.

So, I reiterate -- one of our greatest dangers comes from these slap-happy Brits/tourists or "workers" who can work anywhere "wherever there is Internet access" and so fleet back and forth as it suits them tapping their propaganda on their laptops and enjoying the "divide" like some sick "Somerset Maugham" ....

The "freedom I enjoyed" to move between Cyprus and UK come from the fact I was born a BRIT in Cyprus! And now it's because the RoC is in the EU. But RoC administration has been suspended in the north of the island because of the Turkish occupation. So what gives these EU tourists the right to visit the north as though this was not the case?

There you go! There is a "principle" attached. Well done you. This is the case for most GCs. Yet we have a few Brits, even on this forum, who boast of how easily they flit "across the border" to work and play -- delighting in their exploration of the whole island which is otherwise denied, safely, to GCs.
