What brilliant insight

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Nikitas » Thu Jul 22, 2010 1:34 pm

Read the article again and substitute the words Cyprus and Cypriot with any other you might like, even America and American. Is life in the USA today the same as it was in 1974? No.

Are people in the USA today more insular than they were in 1976? Yep!

Do they strive for that effing swimming pool and "imported" car, shoes, handbags etc? Naturally!

So the political problem aside how are Cypriots different than their partners in the EU and any other western society? We do not know cause the writer did not tell us.

So where is the insight that this writer provides to his readers? As a long time newsman I am surprised by how these things get past editors. Obnviously the editors I worked for drank more coffee than the guys at the Cyprus Mail. My editors were all awake, always.

Charlie is a British born or British raised Cypriot. So when a Charlie moves to Greece what do we call him?

Carolos? Greelie? Cheekie? any suggestions?

Given the article (aka toilet paper) refers to 33 years and since there is no link, are we to assume that the gassbag has trolled the net looking for even more outdated news in which to slap us with???

Come on Gassy, if you want to put the boot in, do it properly

Yes, you can use "Braxigobimadias" or "Eokavidas"!

No insight at all.

The article was just an Anti Cypriot slur and there is no surprise in my mind that Gasoula finds it orgasmic!

Some of the content could easily apply to Australia and Australians as well. We have an election on the 21 Aug 10 and the Great Debate was moved to a different time slot because it was not going to rate as high as a reality TV show called "Master Chef"!

Now that is something. Apparently, many Australians are more concerned with "Master Chef" over who will be running the entire nation for the next 3 years.

She is just a provocateur.

I really don't understand why she continues to live in Cyprus.

The tart should leave for her own sanity!!!!!
