You too do not rush to stereotype the entire forum. You will soon find out that there are many of us G/Cs such as my self and T/Cs such as Deniz and many more who have formed solid relations based on our mutual love to our homeland the island of Cyprus. There are indeed numerous members who appear as extremists , I and many other moderates have been accused of being extremists because of sincere views we hold regarding the Cyprob.
My old friend Birkibrisli , hasn't been around for some time now, used to use the word "empathy" and he was right that's whats missing.
We all suffered there is no denying , but a part of our island and yours too is under foreign occupation not just according to me but according to the UN the EU and all other international organizations. The T/Cs are not entirely happy that thousands of Anatolians have descended upon them and have reduced them to a minority.
Open your eyes read Sevgul Uludags book "OYSTERS WITH THE MISSING PEARLS" don't take H. Gibbons seriously , his book the Genocide Files was sponsored and paid for by Turkey on his own admission.

The truth is, this forum turned out to be a bickering site between GCs and TCs the MAJORITY of which LIVE ABROAD. To be more specific about 50% of the GCs, and 90%+ of the TCs in this forum are expats , who will never ever return to Cyprus for living with or without a solution. The one and only TC living in Cyprus participating in here is Viewpoint, and even that person was born and raised in England!!

While the CP remains unsolved and the demographics in the occupied keep on changing to the point that in a few years there will not be enough TCs left living in Cyprus makes me wonder if there is any point discussing in this forum. Let's face it in a few years the REAL TCs will be history, and what they will be discussing with GC in this forum will also be events of the past with lots of bickering annd hate coming from the historical past.

I think I am realising there are very few Tc's and alot of Big T's that are saying alot of mean things, prehaps a peaceful end to this would be just for Cypriots to sort out the mess alone and it may not take as long as it has !!!
Maybe then in my life time I may get to see where my mother was born without being afraid to take the long trip to paphos.

the answer to the question is a resounding yes,you only have to read the posts to arrive at this answer.there are of course characters like miltiades who pretends to be a moderate,but just dont stand with your back to him.
as for the types like oracle and get real dont even stand in their eyeline.
it is people like this that caused the problems in the first place,they simply cannot be trusted to to the right thing,they may as well have had their most important adult years in cyprus in the 60s ,i am sure they would have revelled in the apartheid

not really viewpoint, you cant really take the opinion of a few on a forum as to what all the gcs or tcs think.. and the younger generation dont care about the cy problem. if you saw how they talk now you would be hope full for re unified land i bet vp.. just you older generation are full of hate ;p minus deniz and a few others but mostly the younger ones dont care and a lot of me and my gc friends we make friends with tcs and hang out in the south with them and north.. i have a few friends who dont agree but they are older

Reading VP's reply reminds me that I forgot to mention that this forum is also used to convey official propaganda too, depending on what political side or aspirations each one has:
If you are pro partition then you will not miss a chance to "prove" that GCs and TCS hate each other and cannot possibly live together in peace.
If you are pro unification then you will not miss a chance to "prove" that GCs and TCS love each ther and can certainly live together in peace.

Of course the truth is somewhere in the middle, and can be altered in any direction.
