Whilst moving the cursor over the name Runaway, the Turkish translation came up. I had a good laugh. I had not heard the word 'firari' for a long time.

I know the difference between 'run away' and 'runaway'. Obviously you do not. Make up your mind and then change your nick.

In my book, 'firarimisin' is one word. When did they change it to two words? I will accept the new version if you provide me with 'proof'.

Perhaps 'Gıbrızlıca' is different from Turkish.

Look in a Turkish dictionary and tell me if there is such a word ; 'misin'.

I’ll put it to you very bluntly…

Our problem is not individual “Turkish Cypriots” but the “TC community” as a political movement with its catastrophic anti-Cypriot policies.

The principal goal of this community is the Turkification of Cyprus, which of course equates to the gradual ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Cypriots.

It is for this fundamental reason that this entity must not be allowed to survive and prosper, for its life means death to us.

Unless this community changes direction 180° in support of sovereign Cyprus and everything Cyprus stands for, we cannot see them as anything other than an enemy of Cyprus.

by the way runaway i also know two mainland turks who live in england and they are footballers, anyway they dont know a word of turkish and their mum does nto speak it well either. but they are very good friends with us they came to cyprus we put the turkish radio for them and tv and took them out... so its not uncommon at all.

i believe there is hate on both sides but not enough to need two states.. there is hate even between gcs the football fans who beat each other up. im sure there is the same kind of thing with the tcs.. "does that mean there should be two states for tcs who cant live together?" that bit was for vp lol

sounds like runaway cant even with with his own tcs... should there be another state in the north? the trnc and then the TCrnc one for hard liners and one for the pro re unified land ones

not at all. but the hate fuels the actions of the leaders a bit surely? if the leaders loved each other would they be fighting all the time and un able to come to a solution?

there for sure would be more giving in these talks.. but no of course its not based on "hate"
