Do all GC's on this site hate TC's ?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I very rarely tell "Cypriots" where I am from because it seems to allow these people the reason to have me do all the jobs they do not want to pay for and they don't feel they can ask the English. The problem is that at first site we both know where we come from so it's only a matter of time before I am hanging curtains. One such GC couple, recently, who are into their seventies and Dino is quite mad, (once a wrestler) now gives me kisses every time he sees me. He speaks a bit of Turkish and when I asked him where he learned it he said his father lived in Turkey. At that moment his wife piped up and said "but he was kicked out by the Turks". She also added they were forced from their homes in 74. I politely said that I know how they feel, my family where kicked off Cyprus in 64 after which the conversation stopped abruptly with Dino saying " that's enough Maria". She won't even look at me know whilst Dino still showers me with kisses. I like Dino. He reminds me of my dad but with a few more loose screws. Not sure about Maria. Not sure if it's hate from my side but I see a gloom fall over me each time I see her and a certain threat...............from a seventy plus woman.

Zan your equation of your parents being "kicked" out of Cyprus in 1964 which of course NEVER happened since there are no records that any Cypriots were deported from Cyprus , is bizarre to say the least. The G/C lady correctly informed you that they, along with more than 160,000, were forced from their homes . Your parents were NOT DEPORTED from Cyprus , they perhaps felt that leaving Cyprus would be a solution to their concerns regarding security on an island were conflict was taking place. Nobody forced them at gun point to leave Cyprus , circumstances dictated that it would be safer to depart.Massive difference, so stop going on about it its becoming boring.

miltiades, my family is from Baf (Baphos). I assure you that we were forced to leave our homes due to GC organized efforts. Where you choose to go after you are forced to leave matters little as far as I am concerned. Please spare us the bs.

You see Miltiades, that is the well balanced argument that I LOVE. we were "threatened" and had a CHOICE to leave but you guys were "threatened" but had no choice. Perhaps we were afraid of a thousand Dinos killing us with kisses. FFS.

I found a Turkish couple in Hawaii a few years ago, They owned a coffee shop, I was pleasantly surprise !

My family was not kicked out, it was their choice to leave, well wouldnt you have been forced to make that same choice if you were being sexually assulted on your way to work everyday as my mother was ?

The difference between hate and trust ?
you can love someone and hate them, you can hate someone sand trust them, you can love to hate them too which is what im thinking is going on alot here !!!

You have totally misunderstood my nick haven't you? Run away is an order for south cypriots.

Optimistic, I have heard of this sexual harassment from other people too. They told me that RoC police would stop buses ferrying people to work and conduct a search for arms. Women were given a thorough inspection, from top to bottom, I was told.

I know the difference between 'run away' and 'runaway'. Obviously you do not. Make up your mind and then change your nick.

In my book, 'firarimisin' is one word. When did they change it to two words? :? I will accept the new version if you provide me with 'proof'.

Perhaps 'Gıbrızlıca' is different from Turkish.

Look in a Turkish dictionary and tell me if there is such a word ; 'misin'.
