Because we are not abiding by international law!

I thought that was obvious...

Read and try to understand what I wrote again or are you in fact saying that "seeing/pissing them off" is not done according to international law.

You too can have a go if you like at explaining to me how a Cyprus Problem "agreement" can ever work given that one or more of the parties involved may refuse to abide by it at some stage.

If you’re planning to suggest an international mechanism that ENFORCES such an agreement thus guaranteeing it, then I see no reason whatsoever why such a mechanism cannot be used with the decades old UN Resolutions 361 & 541!

Briefly, (got to walk the dog) within the EU parties would have to stick to the agreement or face a red card.

It's not that difficult is it GR? Fined, sanctioned or ultimately kicked out of the EU.

I wonder if the British together with their American and European buddies have come up with a formula for an agreed (between them) partition in relation to territory. Are they going to support the current division as the boundary or are they going to divide according to population and land ownership. Which leaves the TC's with about 11%. Hmmm !

I reiterate the solution to the Cyprus problem as handed down by the United Nations (the global authority on international disputes) over three decades ago!

UN RESOLUTION 361 (1974)
http://www.un.int/cyprus/scr353.htm

UN RESOLUTION 541 (1983)
http://www.un.int/cyprus/scr541.htm

The world should abide by the law it has signed and quit pussyfooting around with illegalities!

There are no ifs and no buts!

I second that GR.

Unfortunately, the UN resolutions are not enforced hence the current situation, 36 years later.

It is obvious, the "ongoing" talks are doomed to fail. Eroglu will rush to conclude that the GC side is at fault & declare his partitioning ideas.

There is a last resort measure to be taken by RoC. Go to the ICO and file for binding arbitration based on the UN resolutions and the numerous international courts decisions which condemned the Turkish occupation.

I can't see any other way of resolving the Cyprob.

I kept it simple in the hope that you would understand. I'm surprised you can't get your head round "Fined, sanctioned or ultimately kicked out of the EU"
