Lana, thank you for your good words.

Indeed it's a great phone. I just want to try out the iPhone, to see what all the fuss is about.

I will consider exchange with the iPhone 3GS unlocked and updated to 4.0.1 (ie. with multitasking) as well, if it is in similar excellent condition.

Just out of curiosity, why do you prefer it to the iPhone yourself?

I have 16gb 3GS I phone.

Iphone advantages: more stylish, zillion apps., mostly easier to use, typing easier as screen is not over senstive, better battery life.

HTC advantages, huge capacitive screen (largest on any phone!), hides WinMobile well with Android type interface, offers both IE and Opera, better camera and provides more inherent fanctionality - at least for my purposes, better GPS and I LOVE the Home screen and it widgets!

But if i had to live with just an Iphone, that would be OK.

I am not familiar with HTC HD2 but I do own an HTC HD. Although it is a good phone, my grudge is with the windows mobile platform. Although it seemed to be pretty stable when I first bought it, after using it for some time it was crashing almost every other day. Nothing too painful, as a restart would fix the problem. However, the crashes would always happen at a bad time (browsing the internet or texting). I find that the iPhone OS is a LOT more stable and chances are that I will never go back to a windows mobile smartphone.

Other than that it is no secret that HTC came up with the HD as an iphone killer, hence both HD and HD2 have a bigger screen than the iphone. I cannot attest to the functionality of the HD2 but I would assume that it is a nice phone.
