You can honour the Queen without being a monarchist - its a sign of respect we have for Britain which has played such a huge role in the shaping of our Cypriot identity. Cyprus was a crown colony tied to Britain for nearly a century- one cannot simply deny that. Its part of our pre-Republican history.

Sehr gut!!! wunderbar, but could we possibly squeeze in the bit about honouring the Queen of England? I quite liked that.
