You think that by being silent to the Turkish propaganda and lies is the right way to befriend the Turks? You are very mistaken. By allowing them to pass such lies the only thing we achieve is to help them promote their aim of partition and nothing else.
If they can say "There was a Cyprus problem before 74" in their effort to excuse the ethnic cleansing of 100s of thousands of innocent people and the illegal occupation of half of our island for 36 years, then why shouldn't we remind them who and when started the Cyprus Problem before 74?
You want to help them to put the blame on us when clearly it is them who initiated all the wars and conflicts in Cyprus, from the very first one in 1570 and the 300+ years of oppression that followed, to the inter-communal conflict of 1958, and to the war of 1974. All initiated by the Turks in their effort to expand on our expense and discriminate against us.
