Who is to blame?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Who is to blame?

Postby Paphitis » Tue Jul 20, 2010 6:03 am

So, who is to blame?

Is it the diaspora that elects the most stupid third world tin pot leaders year after year, from Makarios, to Kyprianou, to Vasileiou, to Clerides, to Papadopoulos and now Christofias?

Is it the diaspora that tried to play the Eastern Block up against NATO and allies during the Cold War?

Is the diaspora to blame for raving lunatics such as Sampson et al.

Did the diaspora have grand delusions of Soviet Intervention thinking that they will somehow risk a nuclear holocaust to save our sorry and pathetic arses?

If anyone has the audacity to speak about US/UK, NATO imperialism, then do so by remembering that during the Cold War, Soviet 'imperialism' was just as bad, and even far worse. Two titans were engaged in a massive war of nerves, which thankfully did not result in guaranteed mutual destruction and the destruction of mankind as we know it today.

Just like Newton's Law, for every reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. After independence in 1960, Makarios became a little too big for his miserable boots and thought that it was OK to mess with those 'imperialist forces' by parlaying with other 'imperialist forces' which did not have a strong foothold within NATO's sphere of influence within the Mediterranean Sea. What a fuckwit!!!!

Yes people! Makarios was a pathetic stupid imbecile, who is responsible for the calamity Cyprus now faces, just like many people after the dimwit. His actions, were responsible for these 'imperialist' forces to formulate their plan for the destruction of Cyprus and its people, and the Junta in Greece were the pawns that set in motion a chain of events in order to achieve partition and double union with Greece and Turkey, 2 NATO allies which were already under the "imperialist's" control. What did you fucking dimwits expect????

So who is to blame? Is it the Diaspora?

Or is it every single dimwit Cypriot in Cyprus who elected a fucking priest as President, who then became known as the Mediterranean's Fidel Gastro, or the 'Red Priest' or was it the other fucking traitors such as Sampson and co who conspired against the Government? You must be deluded to believe that one party is exclusively at fault when in reality ALL parties share the blame for fucking Cyprus up!

And those that want to take little cheap shots against those 'imperialist' nations, only provide the masses with hysterical laughter and amusement. Those very 'imperialist' nations have not fucked up their own country, and will confront any adversity as a United country which will pull together to overcome their darkest hour, just like they have done in the past. Cypriots don't have the intelligence, the vision, the nerve, or the discipline.

So let's talk about International Law! It is not fair what happened to Cyprus in 1974. Of course it's not fair. It was down right cruel. And yes, those "imperialist' nations are responsible because they had a Cold War to fight against another 'imperialist' and even nastier and more vindictive world power, the Soviet Union.

So whilst these 2 opposing 'imperialist' forces were programming their ICBMs to target cities around the world, and whilst their nuclear Submarine Fleets were navigating the world's oceans waiting for their orders to kill millions of civilians and possible destroying mankind for good, Cyprus thought it was fit to mess with this Balance of Power in the Mediterranean! Well done dick heads. Very smart move!!!!

But of course its not fair what happened to us. It is also not fair when an ICBM is launched against New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Washington or Sydney. And neither is it fair on the millions of men, women and children if an ICBM was launched against Moscow.

But we, a nation of 600,000 thought that the Soviet Union will send in its naval fleet. We are still waiting 36 years later.

You can blame whoever you like, and cry foul by quoting any International Law in the book. But at least recognise the fact that OUR leaders were the biggest fuckwits to grace the island of Cyprus, and the islanders voted the imbeciles in and support them to this day. WHY? Because you are FUCKWITS!

The world is not a fair place. Life does not always treat us fair. But the way Cypriots and their elected leaders behaved in the last 50 years has led us to where we are today. And every Cypriot shares this responsibility and has a duty to correct past wrongs and finally get a good grip of reality. The world never owed Cyprus anything. International Law is followed and ignored as it best suits the powerful, and so it is important to play our bad hand of cards the best way we can and not chuck spastic immature tantrums against those that want to control the world and its resources. Yes, the West is selfish. Mankind is also selfish. The Iraq war may not be right. The ulterior motive is to ensure that the OIL flows freely to feed our insatiable appetite for the stuff and keep our economies ticking over. Should the 'imperialist' economies fall over, then you can say good bye to Greece for starters.

So Get Real! Get a grip sunshine!

The Education Minister for Cyprus visited Australia today. He was greeted by some 200 expat Cypriots all over the age of 70!

The younger generation were busy watching Halil's BRT TV!

Ex CNG POWs were also busy doing the same. Not good for their PTSS recovery. Oh well, more piss ups with Aussie and US Vietnam vets required........

I know we have disagreed before but....

I have to say well done Paphitis for saying what far more people here probably think than they are prepared to say openly! My wifes grandfather said on the day that he died in the early 1950's that he forsaw Cyprus heading into a catastrophe with the mid-set some of the people here had even then before the EOKA campaign was even being seriously planned! Not because they hated him personally or the church as a religious concept,my in-laws also realised that Makarios was a disaster and their worse fears were proved right!
Only yesterday we had Angelides here and Eroglu in the north, supposedly complete opposites, saying more or less the same thing using different words: i.e. forget a federal solution, partition is better!!
Then we have the AKEL championing their resistance against the 'fascists who staged the coup' while saying nothing about the totalitarian so called 'Communist' regimes they supported in various parts of the world who imprisoned dissidents in psychiatric hospitals and fed people lies in the media!!
So what is the reality-how many people here on both sides would prefer a partitionist solution after 36 years of it existing in all but legal recognition? Why do none of the politicians come clean and dare to openly ask this question, rather than keep mouthing meaningless,worn-out pseudo-patriotic slogans every year about the supposed 'long struggle' while sitting in their comfortable arm-chairs and everyone else ignores them??

Paphitis, to become a real Cypriot you must first learn the Holy Cypriot Bible by heart! Now repeat after me…

Chapter 1: (The Cosmos)

Cyprus is NEVER wrong.

Cyprus is the center of the world.

Cyprus is the cradle of civilization.

Cyprus is the Alpha and the Omega.

When you’ve mastered that you may request Chapter 2! 8)
