The 'Water Cannons ' have been returned to their respective domains (possibly for replenishment) the streets have been cleared of the residues of petrol bombs, rocks and abandoned police vehicles (subjected to fire and fury by the residents of Belfast) the baton wielding shield holding police have withdrawn from the area and all is quiet on the 'Northern Front'.
Further 'Up Country' (in Londonderry) there are street parties and much gaiety (coupled with a smattering of drunken celebration) since, can you believe it ?, Londonderry has been nominated as " The Cultural City of the UK !"
If it didn't make you laugh, it would make you cry. IMHO
