Proposals on Famagusta

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Well hello Bill. MORNING!
If you thought the downfall of Erdogan would benefit RoC then you would be much mistaken. You just don't listen.

The GC firm deliberately delayed the picking up of the harvest despite agreements, as perishables this was incredibly costly to my relative. This happened a couple of harvests in a row, my relative left Cyprus because he could no longer provide for his family.

No you cannot trust when there is no trust. If GCs are willing to spoil the enjoyment of TCs for a political purpose, then what trust when the politics to this day has such mal purpose. If you have ever lived in Cyprus, you will know the system is worked for those running it. To deny that is to be a fool or a liar.

If this happened or not can you state the year, im assuming early 60's if you people still hold these exagerated grudges from 40-50 years ago then you cannot be serious about any sort of a solution...The facts are The ROC is a member of the European Union, all rights are guaranteed, by the rule of law. If you Tc's cant accept that then i suggest you pack a couple of cruise liners back to Turkey and be done with Cyprus

Shame how if the GCs hadn't voted for domination of all Cyprus in 2004 this city would have been reinhabited.

Thank Papadopulous for his fascist ideals. What a waste.

However you look at it....

The state Varosha is in is a sad reflection of sheer nastiness and vengeance,as well as total stupidity and a lack of foresight!
Many Turkish Cypriots I know who live in Famagusta also feel very bad about it and think it is a shame on Turkey for allowing this situation to continue for so long!It benefits nobody and is now uninhabitable and beyond restoration.......

What a load of tosh.
The vast majority of TCs are sad it has remained this way but DO NOT think the shame is on Turkey.

You've spoken to them all have you? Turkey has other bargaining points at its disposal, there was no need to deny 45,000 people their homes. It has been done out of sheer malice and hatred - rather like flag on the mountains. And you have the gall to whinge about the "isolation" of your illegal tinpot little "state". You have shown no remorse or sympathy for the Famagusta refugees you miserable little worm -

"Its your fault, you should have caved into our demands, blame Papadopoulos". What a load of bollocks, you are beyond contempt .

So you are implying that....

Postby cymart » Sun Jul 25, 2010 10:11 pm

The Greek Cypriots trashed and looted it as they left on the 14th of August 1974?That the Turkish Cypriots-or Turkey who really control it-could not have at least maintained and used the buildings a few months after they captured the place, once it was decided it was not going to be immediately returned to the G.C's?How do you explain why certain streets on the edge of the closed area have been in use since the late 1970's(and some inside have had their names changed to Turkish ones but are still uninhabited-the house of a friend of ours has a large 'Alsancak' painted on its side and this can be seen clearly from the fence) and why do the Turkish Army use the Sandy Beach hotel and some surrounding buildings as a military family holiday resort? Is it free or do you have to pay for rooms? How do we make a reservation?
Of course there are no logical answers!
And I wonder what condition they will leave the places they use in if there is a deal and they pull-out?

Since the only way you seem to think you can survive on
Cyprus is through blackmail , rape, torture, mass graves invasion and ethnic cleansing then you should leave . Your arguments have no depth ..a hypocritical person like you should learn to look inthe mirror and see what you are exactly. YOu quote MLK but then youstand behind ethnic cleansing and murder...it seems you are the fool who keeps on doing her best to fool a fool, basically herself...
