Ladies Mile !

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Golly gosh! I am not interested in the cultural practices of individuals which change with the ebb and flow of socio-economic determinants. Only, in the Hellenic ideals of Democracy and Civilization which Cyprus has embraced despite continual pertuberances from outsiders.

I am still British enough that I can moan ...... and have not yet developed the "water-off-a-duck's-back" attitude of most Cypriots. I am still in the midst of two cultures the British and the Cypriot both of which I love through familiarity.

I'm a bit of a chameleon

Ticket to Tartarus for DT!

Tosser? You'll find that I have not cussed once ....
To me it would be as bad as speaking Turkish (or Greek on a forum where the rules do not allow it!)

*I quite like 'tosseleon' though!

Oh this is a snappy, fun sort of forum. But, I see you are mostly divided into two teams; The Pro-Turks and the Anti-Turks (with a few by-standers). One team seems to have a gain on the intellectual and moral high ground. Do we have to join one or the other to experience the full effect?
Decisions, decisions!

Pip pip !

You can meet this jolly chappy down at Lady's Mile. He hangs about outside the beach cafe.

(gotta love that classy finish on the cafe walls)

Went Ladies Mile last Monday afternoon(last kentro) and it was almost empty, sea was calm and warm and completely clear. Was spoilt later by some families with noisy brats when I was trying to sleep off the cold Keo. Was there again last night ,enjoyed my swordfish and the view to Limassol was clear and the lights glittered(spoilt by the red ones spread out along the salt lake).
Oh well, next Sunday its Paralimni. Wish me luck. 8)

JUST RECENTLY:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/cyprus/7899114/Northern-Cyprus-plans-to-become-Mediterranean-Las-Vegas.html

Details were revealed by a new hardline leadership in the north as it prepared to mark the 36th anniversary of the Turkish invasion today.

The centrepiece of events to mark "Peace and Freedom Day" will be the opening of a £150 million hotel and casino complex by President Dervis Eroglu.

The Cratos Premium resort ignited worldwide controversy after booking Jennifer Lopez to perform at its launch. The American singer was forced to pull out after receiving thousands of emails from Greek Cypriot exiles, condemning her for violating a UN embargo.

Thank goodness for the diaspora. Despite being scattered throughout the globe (and despite @ssholes like you) ... they still maintain a strong connection to the RoC. Fu*k you and all those that think like you. 8)

And how did this "intelligent" author determine where all those messages to Lopez came from?

Do you suppose he ASSUMED like incompetent little you often do?
