Fascism is a mental illness, Paphitis, and we got as lot of sick people who are not yet ready for the 21st century. With these people, the only thing they understand, is that Might makes Right, and that as long as they have the Might, then Fascism is the order of the day while Democracy and Human Rights are non existing for them, but only in name. I mentioned the fact that I am well acquainted with a "trnc police officer" who is a rather very decent chap. He works for the regime, earning his bread and butter. His character and morals are as flawless as can be, is rather scathing of the "trnc" regime in private, because just like you, he dreams of a united Cyprus with genuine democracy and HR.

The "trnc" is on shaky ground, because there is a TC undercurrent which do hold these ideals but are silenced/scared. Sadly, there are not many TCs of this ilk on this forum.

A disease for sure. Might was used to force everyone in Cyprus to accept that patriotism is synonymous with either Enosis or partition. Now it is reappearing more subtly in the form of accepting the status quo as is or formalised by a "plan". Thankfully the old methods are not used any more, but the oppression is still there.

The "trnc" regime has created a corrupted society and a welfare state in the north so that they can make the people depend on them for their survival. Many TCs find themselves "slaved" to the regimes corrupted ideology who has the backing of the Turkish Army to protect them from the decent TCs who believe in Democracy and Human Rights. The regime got a head start by giving most TCs stolen GC land so to make them "partners in crime" whether they wanted or not and over time, made them to believe that the stolen GC land actually belongs to them. Now, these people who were unwillingly forced to participate by committing "Sins of Haram" are in a very weak position to stand against their masters. Many of us in the west are not effected by the regimes "brainwashing" on their people and that we are free to think as we please and speak the truth, which annoys those fascists and the morally corrupted here on the forum. We are here to help those TCs in the north who are forced to keep silent by the regime, or else they will lose their welfare state jobs, or worse, ostracize them form the rest of the corrupted society by declaring them traitors to their NeoPartitionists cause..!
