Why does every newcomer to this forum meet with what sounds like suspicion, hostility or derision?

Stayed for a month in Pervolia about five summers ago. It's about a twenty-thirty minute drive and a few miles west of LCA.

Rented an apartment from an Ex-pat couple, very nice place, with a good sized pool. A very much expanded village, full of new and part builds. The local beach at a place called (the) Pharos is nearby, but seem to remember it wasn't the sandiest of beaches.

The centre is pedestrianised at night by the way, and the Church there is very attractively flood-lit, and there are some (well at least two) very nice restaurants there, seem to remember we were regulars at one called Zorbas, a large establishment which was very, very popular and lively with the usual entertainments, and there's also a Cy cafe in the centre there, where would polish off one of those very nice small bottles of zivania to aid digestion.

Another area just like Ayia Napa where the local peasants have mad a fortune selling property to dozy ex-pats looking for jobs!
