APOEL is the one to watch tonight... I think (and hope) they've got the group stage in the bag! :)

Final score 1-1!

Cypriot teams are now ALL out of Europe taking with them all the interest I had in the European soccer tournaments!

Ah well... see you all next year again!

That's pretty impressive..

Forgive my soccer ignorance but what does 'ultras' supposed to mean?
Is that like fanatical lunatic supporters or something?

A load of rubbish that's what!

The European soccer tournaments always separate the men (advancement to group stage) from the boys (excitement over meaningless baloney!).

Thats why only the Champions League is suitable for APOEL. There was no motive to advance to the Europa League and get tired half way through the season.

Win the league title and then Champions League all over again.

Europa League has some serious money unlike the previous format of the UEFA Cup. Not equal to the CL group stage money and tv rights aggregate, but it's still a lot of money. Some 1-2 million euros is always welcome.
