In the same map did you see Malounta, right below Ag. Ioannis/Ag Yiannis and above Messana? (right hand side lower part of your map)

I wish Paulat turn up. He's got us running around like headless Turkeys.  (I said turkeys bcause of our sizes)

Yes Deniz, I see it, but as far as I know that is an area and not a village as such. I have driven past there a few times and haven't seen a village. I will ask around some friend from that area when I see them later today.

You might be right as I saw no village there where I expected it to be.

If I bring my MG-Midget to Cyprus, we could tour together.

Hey Deniz, do you really have an MG Midget? Here's one in Limassol.

I was only kidding Jerry. Pulling Kaf's leg about our sizes.

Sorry to mislead you. No Midget would accommodate me let alone both of us.

Nevzat was a teacher in the English School in Nicosia. I wonder if the family Paulat is looking for is connected to him.

the spelling is definately
Malounda, Cyprus
and there is definately a connection with Paphos

check the dk entry for the ostritch farm
http://traveldk.com/cyprus/dk/ostrich-park-malounda

maybe the malounda near paphos and the one in nicosia are related.
I know this family moved from the greek side to the turkish side because of the war, and the origins were on the greek side

It seems it is NOT Melunda. My first post showed the right one.

New immigrants to Cyprus - Ostriches. Whatever next.

Thanks Paulat.

and where exactly is malounda. I know it is somewhere near paphos

Ancestory search for the family name neavzit

So what is your problem?

If you click on "view map" on the link you provided, it shows you exactly where it is!

no problem,
just want to confirm that this is the area mentioned, i.e where the ostritich farm is

but more importantly is there any connection in northern cyprus to this malounda near paphos. i.e a region where the turkish cypriots from this region moved to (or more specifically if anyone knows of the family neavzit, that moved from this region)
