Implication of J-Lo Cancellation

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Gasman » Mon Jul 12, 2010 9:11 pm

On the contrary, it was the one-sided "history" she heard from the Turks which initially tricked her into naively accepting an invitation to gig.

One of your better flights of fancy! You think they persuaded her to appear by telling her a 'one sided history' of the Cyprob?

They offered her 3 million dollars!

And you think someone as successful as JLo (married to another hugely successful and rich artiste, famous in his own right) is 'naive'?

JLo - known as a shrewd businesswoman, ranks high in the 20 richest women entertainers worldwide, has several other revenue streams, including a clothing line, an incredibly successful perfume line, a Pasadena, Calif.-based Cuban restaurant called Madre's and she and her husband are part owners of the Miami Dolphins.

Naive?

Some things never change - you are still barking.

Actually naive is the very word to describe this error of judgement.

I agree with you, that they may not be stupid, but you also have to agree that they left them selves wide open and this can only be put down to naivity.

Of course she corrected her error, once she realised what she had done. Good on her, may she set an example to any future conned artists who are concouraged to the 'trnc' for blood money.

Bravo J-Lo. we love you and your bum.

You can spend your B'day with me anyday girl.

Saw this comment:

"This whole situation makes me so sad. The statement that was issued by my representatives was done without my knowledge or consent. It is my personal policy not to comment on political issues between countries. I love my fans all over the world.

I want to sincerely apologize if anyone was hurt or offended in any way. Again, I am truly sorry."

You underestimate Jlo and her political acumen....First of all, being associated with Cuban Americans and their quest to liberate Cuba from Castro, she is well aware of political situations. On the corner of Cyprus is congressman and Cuban American Menendez. It only took one phone call from him to her to end this fiasco with her going to perform in the occuppied areas, and the corelation it has with the situation with Cuba. She could not offend the congressman nor any Cuban Senator. And if she is a part owner of the Miami Dolphins which are owned by Cuban Americans she knows where her bread is buttered.....

Not only is the powerhouse Republican Senator Menendez on the side of Cyprus and knows the details of the Cyprus situation, the Governor of Florida Republican Charley Crist a Greek Cypriot , from the Yiallousa area of Cyprus, probably also had a hand in informing Jlo on the mistake she was about to commit.
