Hello! I’ll be holidaying in Cyprus too although for me it’s my first and I’d like to ask…

1. How much to hire a lawn mower?
2. Do coalminers strike often?
3. Are fish flakes expensive?
4. Would Cypriot banks be able to change my British crowns?
5. How much to hire a 70s Mini Cooper for one week?
6. Do Turks wear turbans?
7. Do I need to wear one if I cross into the Arab side?

I am always trying to compete with the song birds of my dessicated garden.
When I twitter in the garden, the robins seem to come even closer to listen to me. Its weird. I feel like Dr. Doolittle. :lol:

I think robins are the re-incarnation of some long lost loved ones.

Well GR I guess you are now in Cyprus.

Hope you are enjoying your holiday is it the first time (Holiday that is)?

A word of advice ...please stay away from the Nicosia area especially that around Tseri as the locals can be somewhat intimidating.

I would advise you to stay in the pathos area where you may be among your own kind.

Also worth a visit is Khiorotika where some fools say the original Cypriots originate ( I dont believe it myself - Just a myth old chap)

It is also worth a visit to Turkey - (just north of Nicosia) if you have the time. where you may see the remains of thousands of years of Turkish history (well thats according to the tour guides.

Also please take the time out to write us a diary of your sojourn so all the forum members may share your wonderful memories

I'm thinking of going to Cyprus myself soon so would be most interested in your opinions especially those regarding the natives
