The nice agent who sold me the house said I would find work no problem as there is a severe shortage of pool cleaners in that area and that the locals prefer British tradesmen

You was told wrong. No swimming pools in CY. Now clear off.

Rah Gasmouula

Thank you for the support I was beginning to think all the people here on forum were awful people.

When I said I was a qualified pool cleaner that did not necessarily mean I would do the actual cleaning. I was thinking along the lines of dropping the good lady off to do the job whilst I stood guard in the kafenion.

I woukd also be able to drop her off to do gardening , fence painting , stonewalling and any other odd jobs such as apartment cleaning do you think there would be a call for these skills?

Thats not a very nice way to treat a newbie asking a civil question.

Maybe you would be able to help me find work with your extensive knowledge of the whole island.
