Elvis Opening New Hotel In Occupied Areas on Stolen Land?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Article 173 of the Cyprus Constitution provided for separate municipalities for Turkish Cypriots in the five main towns. The Greek Cypriots refused to obey this mandatory provision and in order to encourage them to do so the Turkish Cypriots said they would not vote for some of the Government's taxation proposals. The Greek Cypriots remained intransigent, so the Turkish Cypriots took the matter to the Supreme Constitutional Court of Cyprus. The court comprised one Greek Cypriot judge, one Turkish Cypriot judge, and a neutral President.

In February 1963 Archbishop Makarios declared on behalf of the Greek Cypriots that if the Court ruled against them they would ignore it. On 25 April 1963 the Court did rule against them and they did ignore it. The President of the Court (a German citizen) resigned and the rule of law in Cyprus collapsed.

See what happens when a RACIST and SEGREGATIONIST constitution is imposed? It quite simply doesn’t work!

And neither would a “BBF”, “BBC”, or any other undemocratic abbreviation you may care to invent and manufacture.

And who introduced to the constitution of Cyprus such segregational parameters like "separate municipalities"? And who decided that Cyprus should have some foreign judge taking decisions for us? The Cypriots? Or the foreign Imperialists who imposed this constitution on Cyprus?

Clerides "the delicate period of 1960-63, when both communities were questioning the sincerity of the other over their real commitment to independence, was not the proper time to request constitutional amendments on the grounds that the constitution was unworkable, when in fact unworkability could not be established".

I agree, in the long run the system has to work smoothly, however you know my position, trust needs to grow before you start changing things.

Trust grows under the right unifying environment . When you divide the population along ethnic lines with segregation and racist discriminations then the result is not the creation of more trust, but on the contrary less trust, more conflicts and more problems.

Trust people like you that see no reason why Turkish Cretans leaving after centuries is no issue and the same can happen in Cyprus. We lived through the 60s, let's find our way and establish trust first before we risk our livelihoods, rights and safety.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

So c'mon Pratis, get back to the question at hand, ethnic cleansing and apartheid. Still waiting for your answer that legitimately demonstrates who started this on OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND OF CYPRUS.
