Argh, that people like you exist makes me realise that humanity will never live up to its potential.

Pratis, we agreed, you agreed, we signed a constitution, you didn't like the terms, well why did you sign it then, you felt pressure, well choose another option, we are all free to choose - I've heard your excuses before and if you wanted to change the terms you needed to sit down and find a new compromise that was constitutionally acceptable and not just usurp the constitution.

OUR COUNTRY CYPRUS, chance for a new beginning 1960.

The comment was ethnic cleansing and apartheid. Stick to the subject and stop digressing.

No Acikgoz, we were not free to choose. The 1960 constitution was imposed on us by force and blackmail. If we were free to choose then don't you think we would choose something that we actually liked and that we wouldn't want any changes to it?

Constitution existed in South Africa of Apartheid as well. It also existed in the USA, UK, France and many other countries at a time when slavery was considered normal. One thing is to say that there was a constidution, and another thing to say that we actually had a choice, since we obviously didn't.

So don't try to change the discussion here. You started the oppression and discriminations against the Cypriot people with the Ottoman rule, and 80 years after the end of Ottoman rule you again collaborated with foreign imperialists in order to regain unfair privileges on the expense of the majority of the population.

The Cypriot people never asked for anything more than the freedom to rule their own island in a democratic way, and this includes writing our own constitution, not having some foreign Imperialists impose one on us.

DID MAKARIOS CALL A MEETING OF REPRESENTATIVES TO DISCUSS WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS OF GOVERNANCE OFFERING REAL COMPROMISES SUGGESTING HOW TO RESOLVE THE INSECURITIES OF BOTH TCS AND GCS? NO
ENOSIS FOR THE WHOLE ISLAND WAS THE GOAL

It doesn't say anywhere in the Draft Constitution which was signed that it could not be improved upon. In fact, it made provision for negotiating disputes! But, the TCs just walked away ...

Piratis, you keep on saying,' You started the oppression and discriminations against the Cypriot people with the Ottoman rule'.

Do you realise how stupid that sounds. Now get a grip will you. For all those years the Moslems and Christians suffered at the hands of the Porte, for christ sake, show some intelligence if you have any. Who is it you refer to as 'YOU'? The moslem population are NOT the PORTE.
