Stop playing the "poor innocent". You wanted partition and with the help of forces beyond the control of most GCs that is what you think you have achieved. You can't stand up on your own despite stealing and selling off our assets off and now you cry foul because we "embargo" you. You were a minority of 18% but you wanted to show how "big" you were by being equal to the overwhelming majority of Cypriots - are you fucking stupid, don't you realise how that reminded us of Ottoman dominance (and before you start spouting about "that was a long time ago", my grandfather was born under the Ottomans). You knew that if you cried long and loud sooner or later your "motherland would enforce your "equal status". The first ethnic cleansing (genocide actually) in Cyprus was commited by the Turks on September 9 1570 when they murdered 20.000 people - more than 10% of the population of Cyprus of that time.

Then the Turks for 300+ years divided the population into Christians with less rights and Muslims with more rights. The Greek Cypriots (Christians) had to pay much more taxes, their testimony was not even accepted in courts, and they were butchered whenever they tried to seek their rights.

Today is 9th of July. Here is what happened on 9th of July 1821:

During the Greek War of Independence in 1821, the Ottoman authorities feared that Greek Cypriots would rebel again. Archbishop Kyprianos, a powerful leader who worked to improve the education of Greek Cypriot children, was accused of plotting against the government. Kyprianos, his bishops, and hundreds of priests and important laymen were arrested and summarily hanged or decapitated on July 9, 1821.

The Turkish oppression lasted until 1878. Just 80 years later, in 1958 the Turks were again the ones who committed the first massacre against Greek Cypriots, when on the 12th of June 1958 they killed 8 Greek Cypriots. At the same period the TCs burned down the homes and shops of innocent Cypriot people.
