A rather amusing account from a passenger!

Timetables are in XL files you have to download and not all info is in English yet.

I'm sure you can figure out a seven column time table... :roll:

Sunday = Κυριακή (Kiriaki)
Monday = Δευτέρα (Deftera)
Tuesday = Τρίτη (Dridi)
Wednesday = Τετάρτη (Dedardi)
Thursday = Πέμπτη (Bempti)
Friday = Παρασκευή (Baraskevi)
Saturday = Σάββατο (Savvado)

Yes I can. Did I say I couldn't?

It could be better for tourists. They don't ALL bring laptops with them on holiday to download the info!

There are no destination boards etc. or info on where they stop.The bus driver waves a sheet of A4 paper from the bus!

Is that what you call a 'timetable'?

No ROUTES, no start and end destinations?

You don't need a bus company to give you a list of how to write the days of the week in Greek!

No, it's just a small tute for the days of the week to help you out.

On a whole, however, the system seems promising and surprisingly successful. A large number of people are using the buses and the new routes provide more mobility for passengers than ever before. The project is still in the early stages of operation. Hopefully the problems will be ironed out in time.

Your articles conclusion, but then you wouldn't mention it would you. Not negative enough about Cyprus. You've become a very tiresome poster on this forum and a soon to be ignored one.

The new bus service seems to be working as well as can be expected after only a few days. Proper timetables at each bus stop have been promised, but this takes time.

The major problem is getting people to use them apart from the allodapoi, the school kids and the pensioners!

PErhaps we should have hired the people that controlled the logistics for Terminal 5 when it opened. They forgot to make a parking lot for the employees and the whole of Heathrow came to a standstill for weeks. :lol:

when ROC obtains a workable buses system (they are trying since early 60's ), then Palestians/ COB, Afghan and even Iran problems will be solved-the mentality of humans will be increased in such a level!!!
