There are three mespila trees growing wild in my street in Athens and the fruit is neglected and falls to the ground to rot. Meanwhile at the grocers down the road mespila sell for 3 euro a kilo. Something not right, huh?

To make a little bit of the country you now live in feel a little bit like home is the most natural thing in the world so keep trying to grow your plants and trees, display your memorabilia, find food that is dear to your heart and familiar to your palate and to hell with the negative comments on here.Hope your new country fullfills your dreams and expectations and it's people make you welcome.

Back in the early seventies in Surrey, my parents had an Italian bloke that came round once a week to do the garden. He got a grapevine going which used to produce a mega crop. The vine is still there and producing today.
