I received a fine yesterday of 85.43 euro for (not wearing a seat belt ?)..
Now..let me explain..
I drove out of my complex on my way to work(with my seat belt on) from the exit of the building to the corner is about 10m,i stopped(indicated..yes i always use that little lever) i saw the police convoy(5m away from me)i proceeded to turn left,and as i passed them i was told to pull over..no problem..
The police officer(does not deserve to be called that)approached my car,walked around it,looking for some problem i presume,when he found none he approached my window,asked for my license,which i gladly gave him...
Then..he tells me he "i will give you fine" WHAT..i say,for what..no seat belt..this guy is serious,he needs glasses..but officer i say,i have seat belt on...he says no..when i see you stop on corner you don`t have belt on..officer,when i stop i adjust seat belt not put on seat belt..my passenger looks on in horror,tries to defend me,to no avail..

I get out my car fuming,trying to reason with this man,a second policeman walks over,tells me to get into my car as i talk to much..now i would like to continue opening my mouth,but being in charge of a bar in a hotel i can not afford to be late(and if i carry on fuming,i might even be arrested).
So getting my fine off i go...

Now i thought i should not pay it and go to court and fight it,but everyone has advised me to pay,because they say in court the judge will not believe me but the officer,and secondly if i loose the fine will double...

Now how does anyone expect me to respect the law(NO WAY)

Wow.. a bit a bad luck there for you.
What an idiot, he assumed you put it on after spotting them...
Well, I guess many people scramble to put on their belts at the last second after they spot the cops ahead. But that still isn't an excuse.

Dude, just pay the fine, cos the time, hassle and effort is just not worth a simple seat belt fine regardless.
I've been caught DUI once a few years ago, and the court is a time consuming affair waiting for your turn to stand in front of the judge and get fined.

yes..i`ve relised that..am english and male...pathetic police force,the fine was paid.

had a same thing but i was fined by SBA officer... for talking on my mobile whilst driving on a salt lake... i swear. NO road... salt lake. On top of that he tried to fine me for not wearing seatbelt but i told him you are not sure so drop the act... well he wasnt sure, he assumed i wasnt wearing a setbelt.
