Is that not correct if you are exiting the roundabout at the third exit?

I fvollowed someone yesterday who went the wrong way round a roundabout, to their credit, it was a quicker option......

If you drive round and around on a roundabout it simply means you’re going straight whereas all exits are a left turn. The only time you would indicate right on a roundabout is if you were planning to climb on the circle in the middle!

To Turn Left ( taking the first exit) signal left and approach in the left-hand lane keep to the left on the roundabout and continue signalling left to leave.

To go straight on ( taking the second exit) select the appropriate lane on approach to and on the roundabout. If no marking on the road it is usually safest to keep to the left lane. stay in this lane until you need to alter course to exit the roundabout signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

To Turn Right ( taking the last exit or third exit ) signal right and approach in the right-hand lane keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout signal left after you have passed the exit before the one you want.

GR = typical Greek, doesn't have a clue about rounabouts LOL!

An apology is in order her, to GR, I mistakenly called him 'Greek'....
...when all the time we know he is Australian :-)

while sitting outside Malibu bar on limassol touris strip. The most funny thing happened a polish or bulgaren man in his car pulled out right infront of a taxi driver. Causing him to lock up his brakes and just missing the polish guys car. Then the taxi driver held his horn and started giving hand signals to which the polish guy got out of his car ready to fight! i think the taxi driver locked him self in the car!! Very funny nice to see taxi drivers getting a taste of there own driving flaws. No one was hurt and i dont condone fighting but it stopped the traffic for couple of mins and all happened a stones throw from police station

That's because they are usually begging a ride! .... that's if they haven't managed to steal a GC's car!

So those of you who indicate right on a roundabout, whom are you actually signaling to? Whom exactly are you supposedly “informing” of your intentions?

The car that entered the roundabout from…

(1) The same entry as you?
(2) One entry before you?
(3) Two entries before you?

And what if you were to do a “U-Turn” so as to return down the same entry point you came from? Would you still be indicating right?

Indicating right signals to the cars waiting to come on that you are going past their entry point and they should not attempt to come onto the roundabout. Signaling left allows the cars waiting to come on to start to get ready to come on since you are about to leave the roundabout by the nearest (to you) exit. It also allows the car behind you to adjust their speed as you slow down slightly to take the corner for exiting.

Of course, the average human brain, being infinitely more complex than the machines you deal with (and have chosen to trade your brain in for :D ), computes all this instantly without any trouble ...

Simply let me know when you are taking a drive and I will gladly stay off the roads (for my own safety). :D
