Varosha/Maras,any changes this summer?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Varosha/Maras,any changes this summer?

Postby cymart » Wed Jun 30, 2010 10:39 pm

Is that mysterious Lahmacun bar open again way down in the closed area near Kalamies and have they opened any more of the beach along from Palm Beach Hotel or is it just the same as in previous years? It would be quite feasible to let people use more of the beach and just close off access to the ruined buildings behind it from the King George Hotel etc.Has the Palm Beach Hotel re-opened yet?Maybe its time all the former Varosha inhabitants just went over and re-occupied the closed area-that might stir-up some developments!Mind you, most people are too busy enjoying life at Protaras etc. to put themselves out!

Always the bazaar mentality. Any PR man could tell you that sometimes just giving might lead to much greater gains than a traditional bazaar exchange. How long do you think it would take the EU, USA and others to force direct flights once Famagusta is returned? A week, two weeks? A month at the most.

Not only this, but should The Ghost City be reopened, it will need to be rebuilt from the ground up. This I presume will create thousands of construction jobs and Billions in investment. TCs will fill many of these jobs and consequently benefit themselves and their families!
