Well ... in the UK I had a cholycystectomy done in a private hospital in Windsor for nothing.

The NHS had kept me waiting so long on the list for what was said to be urgent (3 yrs) that they had to pay for me to go private to meet their targets!

Love those hospitals where you can order a G&T and have your pals in all evening and order snacks for them!

I was in London the previous evening, and by the next evening the procedures were carried out. Not even an appointment; so there!!!

That's nothing!

In the RoC TCs enjoy priority health care, without waiting or being placed on a waiting list, and all procedures are free of charge! This is not the case with the GCs!

Their tax euro really does go along way!

...and I am sure they are grateful for it too. (or they should be). But then the RoC is the legal goverment of the whole of Cyprus so they are delighted in taking care of ALL Cypriots - I am sure!!

Yes Deiz, obliged to also collect taxes and control the WHOLE of Cyprus and expect ALL citizens to respect that. But hey, you just want it all your way, all the freebies and then 2 fingers up at the RoC.

I have NOT enjoyed my property since 1963, yet I had to pay £35,000 in past taxes before I could have any dealings with the land registry. Things are not always in black and white so just **** ***.
