You are not right Acikgoz. We were not looking for war in 1570, and yet we were invaded by the Turks. In fact at no point we were looking for war. The only thing we were looking for was our right to be free to democratically rule our own island. Nothing more than this. Then they were Anatolian Ottoman settlers "invading" and "occupying" "your" island; so that "you" welcomed their emigration with great happiness?

When exactly the Anatolian Ottoman settlers became TCs in "your" minds and hearts? After 1974 or when you hear them emigrating from TRNC?

it is not a "1570 argument". It is a "1570-2010 argument". 1570 was just when the Turks started to commit crimes against Cyprus (and you wanted to play the "who started it" game, didn't you?), but their crimes continue until today with the illegal occupation of 1/3rd of Cyprus.

Nobody wants problems. We all want the problem solved. Problem is that for us a solution means the liberation of the north part of Cyprus, the return of our refugees to our homes, Settlers being repatriated to Turkey, whole Cyprus ruled democratically by the Cypriot people etc. On the other hand for you "solution" means the legalization of the results of the invasion and the ethnic cleansing and the official Turkification of the north part of Cyprus.

Obviously there is a vast difference between the way you and us want to end the problem.
