How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The banning of goods for use by Turkish Cypriots that were not ever a threat. The loans granted for development which were freely handed to GC businesses of which TC businesses could hardly access.....

Someone had a contingency plan then and did everything to implement it - go pull the other leg. If GC powers that be wanted to live in peace with TCs they could have. Denial of responsibilities is not an argument that you can use to justify the actions of GCs in the partition of the island however frequently you wish to apportion all the blame on Turkey and TCs.

G/cs wanted neither peace with T/cs , neither be austronafts, they just wanted the human rights which apply to all democratic states of the world, where minority is fully protected but the majority is not a slave to minority's will.

Afterall only G/cs fight against British for the Island's freedom- T/cs , AS USUAL, were just supporters of the occupator. Even only for this reason the creators of CB should be very well known to you if you was not just an other fanatic .

I would be a very funny situation if the Kurds in mainland Tukey were obtained same rights like T/cs have, even today ,in ROC.As percantage to total ppulation is almoast the same like T/CS -G/CS.
(Note and clear: i do not support any terrorist action by KURDS IN Turkey)

Really? The same community who are now a minority in the north of Cyprus, vastly outnumbered by Anatolian settlers and ruled by a corrupt and criminal military elite?

In case you missed it, the Turkish occupation of northern Cyprus has led to the slow extinction of Turkish Cypriots. The result is evident: isolation, economic ruin, cultural eradication, pariah status and mass emigration.

Even the most fanatical Greek nationalist couldn't have inflicted such an outcome on the Turkish Cypriots. Nice work. So keep on blaming the Greeks. Pretty soon, there'll be no T/Cs left in the north and you'll wonder how it happened. No doubt the Greeks did it.

You’re just hallucinating from the shock and disappointment!

No shock - we could see it coming a mile away.
No disappointment - we got the free air time and the money back.
:D

You and the rest of the English peasants saw F/A coming , your one single brain cell would not cope !!

When was the last time the GCs didn't get their way, like spoilt brats? Of course we saw it coming, dolt!
The more you fuck with the TRNC the less you are going to get out of them in the long run, but I'm sure you know best.

I'm sure you don't no best. For only a fool would squander their grandchildren's inheritance by handing it over to outlaws in return for letting you trespass on other people's land.

What's happened to Turkish Cretans and Turkish Rhodesians which weren't even under any embargoes? Why did they emigrate?

I agree that corrupt governance and socio-economic policies is one of the reason of emigration of people but not only in TRNC but all around the world ... In TRNC the main reason of TC emigration is the embargoes which badly affects the development of North thus the prosperity of it's people...

Epsilon, I totally get the concept of pan-democratic states, I also get the concept of confederations and separation. Fundamental flaws existed then as they exist now for full democracy. Simply look at the baying for blood of any Turk or TC on this site and you will know what I mean. A working solution is necessary, not a political one, that is my philosophy.
Re the Kurdish situation, I have great sympathy for their plight, as a people who's rights have been denied for so long and their need to assimilate if they want to be successful. If there was a partition of the south eastern part of Turkey for the greater benefit then so be it. I am not a nationalist but a realist humanist. I respect your words of not supporting terrorism.

Hermes, in North Cyprus, Turkish Cypriots can move around as they please, are not villified or threatened physically, nor are they treated as second class sitizens in their own country.

We were dealing with isolation, cultural eradication and economic ruin from 1963.

Regarding the immigrants from Turkey, they come of their own desire and it was the TRNC govt that decided whether then can stay or go. TCs do not leave because immigrants come to the North, they leave because of the restrictions of opportunities due to the isolation. Now are you saying the Greeks or GCs have nothing to do with the isolation? Organisations such as the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, what role do they play?... Follow the logic, it really isn't that hard.

Stand by your deeds, don't pretend the effects of your actions are attributable to others, or like the Hermes of mythology, you too are the patron saint of thieves and liars.

So some Cypriots leave the occupied areas because of the alleged isolations and embargos, but a large numbers of Turks decide to move there despite the alleged isolations and embargos ...

Doesn't quite stack up, so what's really going on?

Oh idiot Ed. If you took a moment to think rather than be led by your urge to trash us you'd realise there are 2 obvious factors, 1. Relative wealth 2. Limited travel restrictions, get an RoC passport and you are off with all the rights of an EU citizen.

Ackigoz,

In North Cyprus, Turkish Cypriots can move around as they please,

They're moving straight to the UK. As they please.

are not villified or threatened physically

As long as they don't question the occupation.

nor are they treated as second class sitizens in their own country.

That must be why there are so few left. Ungrateful bastards.

As you might know, most of the TCs like to have "good" jobs and a "lot of" money...

Is it possible for everyone in a country to get "good" jobs and "a lot of" money?

Of course, no... the ones who heard that TCs living in Britain and Australia got "a lot of" money save "a lot of" money emigrated to those countries to get "a lot of" money and save "a lot of" money...

If TRNC wasn't under embargoes, there would most probably have been more "good jobs" for TCs and thus less emigration happened...

As for Anatolian settlers STILL coming TRNC to work; they come for "bad jobs" but for them "good jobs" that any TC would think better to emigrate than do those works...

Says a lot about Turkey, not to mention the alleged emargoes if its citizens think they can get a better life in the occupied areas.
