Not wishing to play into your hands but it is just that someone new comes on and asks a sensible question looking for some advice and it unleashes everything I hate about this forum. For daring to have an honest opinion of how things are in this country(Cyprus) vitriol of the most disgusting and hurtful kind is poured out.I am not a plonker, neither do I take sides in political debates which I am ignorant of as it is so far back in history that both sides have their own interpretation on that situation and I am not able to judge so do not,I do not know what forum "cyprus dying " is and don't want to know,I am just a decent person and obviously make the pillocks of this world feel threatened by that!!

Right back to the topic.... Noone has really mentioned Ayia Napa? It was actually my dad that said his mate's mate owns a pub there and its a crackin place to go...Immediately i said no chance as i just think of it as like ibiza, just non stop party central. But he said that it has changed alot and its not all like that anymore. Is this true? What is it really like? Possibly a place i could consider....

Cheers

Absolutely worth considering, maybe even should go to top of your list. It is very seasonal though. Closes down in the winter. Loads and loads of bars, restaurants, hotels etc... and all very English Speaking friendly.

A place of extremes depending on time of day, during the day, the beaches which are sandy and with a shallow sea, families are there in great numbers .. and later on from late night and into the morning hours very lively club scene when the younger singles/parties take over.

Just up from there are other resorts such as Protaras, pretty family orientated.
