i want to buy one o those small laptops(notebooks) but not that cr@p 7inch 300mhz ones at least to be 800-900mhz or more to run xp and to have usb port! if anyone has one for sale let me know.

You’re not making much sense… are you talking about those Intel Atom based Netbooks or Nettops? If so, their processor speeds vary from 800 MHz to 2.13 GHz.

Overall their actual speed is about half that of the equivalent rated Mobile Pentiums and they don’t have a CD/DVD drive so keep that in mind!

Personally, I wouldn’t waste my money on them… just get a normal laptop!

I am not sure about wasting money...I got one and picked it up for US$180...10" screen, wifi, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM and battery lasts well over 4 hrs, and with a 3G option build in....ok a hang low brand but had it well over a year now and still ticking quite well...i added an extra GB of ram

had it running with vista and win 7...right now i am running XP with offce 2007...i am also running photoshop with no problems handling large files...

craps all over the ipad, and quite handy when travelling...

i only need it for diagnosing my vw so i need a small laptop with usb able to run xp i`m a desktop fan and maybe i use a laptop once a month or when i fly back home i watch a movie on it.. so for my needs its not a waist of money.You can now buy very slim external CD/DVD writers if you really need one. boomerang when and from where u bought yours?

There is a stripped-down version of Windows 7 for Netbooks for those who hate XP… (I forgot its name)

Microsoft got shafted trying to get rid of XP while Netbooks were coming out and being sold with 1Gb of memory!

paliometoxo you are right xp is rubbish (for u)... and it was rubbish all the time u where using it wrongly sorry for u if u couldnt get along with xp but for some users its just working fine. Who needs Vista and 7 if a want to play mario? If windows 8 will come out you gonna say the same for those who use 7? Instead of installing every newer OS just because its newer and has fantastic new things(same sht with more nice UI) i stick to my outdated OS because it works for me! i have the software also.. i just sold my bigger older laptop because i was uncomfortable when i was sitting in my car diagnosing stuff. I`m able to adjust mpg values reading fault codes adjusting idle speed changing language and regional settings able to change miles to km or back and a lot more.
