No, they were not transit passengers coming from Russia, but Romanians.
Looked like a scene from a George A Romero movie on that plane ! The walking dead !

During that time I saw these scrap metal collectors (Gypsies or Pontians) looking for metals. I told him that I threw away an old water pump...
He entered the skip to find out that some other person had beat him to it.
I know for a fact that these people are known to steal various items which are left outside someones house or in a field, just to sell it for scrap metal.
If you do get these people inquiring about such stuff, make sure you record the vehicle registration number.

Unless I,m blind, well I am in one eye actually Is,nt there an enormous amount of scrap metal lying around the whole island, there is a great rusting 1950,s lorry old combine harvester and goodness knows what else just lying in the fields near here, send em down here they could make a fortune In fact I have always wondered why someone has,nt done that, made a successful business on collecting and selling the scrap metal thats available on Cyprus must be worth millions. I know of ten cement lorries just gathering rust that have been there for over five years, where there,s scrap there is money, is,nt that true?
