Ok, lets generalize.

Soaring levels of alcohol consumption and obesity mar Labour's NHS record.

Assuming that ALL British are inherent alcoholics, which is evident from their unruly, drunken reputation abroad- not isolated incidents but frequent, is it safe to assume that Selena was in the throes of an alcohol induced delirium whilst posting this topic, and if so should we take her seriously?

....but Selena is not British, so back to 'why are there anti-British posts here', which you are now perpetuating?

The same reason there are 'anti-Cypriot' posts which people are perpetuating.
take note- NOT anti animal abusers but ANTI CYPRIOT posts.

Well, Cap, while it was posted in 'General', this is a Cypriot Forum, so we tend discuss, in the main, events related to Cyprus. I appreciate the OP seemed to be attacking Cypriots, but rather than counter this with evidence to the contrary, people go off at a tangent talking about other shortcomings and other countries..why is what i do not understand.

This is how it looks:

A Cypriots poison animals.

B Yes, but British people are alcoholics

er yes, but what is the relevance!!! - and if you wish to start a thread about alcoholism, I am happy discuss this issue in Russia, where drunkenness is a national sport!

Read my post again. I will emphasize the important things in caps so you can SEE THEM. We live in Cyprus - and i said i hate all uncivilized cypriots. Read it again. and again. I HATE ALL ANIMAL ABUSER CYPRIOTS. ALL OF THEM. at the moment only cypriots because my dog was poisoned IN CYPRUS. I had pets before and friends with pets before in 4 different countries. NEVER EVER BEFORE i had seen-heard of such behaviour in my close environment ONLY IN CYPRUS. DEAL WITH THIS! Although this happens in other countries on a occasional basis, this kind of poisoning is USUAL IN CYPRUS - because cypriots GENERALLY dont have a pet-loving and respecting culture - yes there are exceptions but there are much more idiots and ignorant pigs here compared to other countries. Lack of legislation and attitude of police are excellent indicators of this.

INSTEAD OF DENYING IT YOU SHOULD FACE IT AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!

Someone outside of cyprus gets a proper picture of cyprus by reading your posts alone. You ignore the faults of your country by pointing on faults of others and blaming others. You have a great excuse to blame the turks for everything - now that in this post there were no turks - you point out the faults of english. you are pathetic. This is why cyprus problem will never be solved. you are the same race on both sides (una faca una raca) and you keep pointing at eachother. instead, you should just look at the mirror.

I said everything that I needed to say, even more - so i say bye to you guys. Those with pets - be careful and give a hug to them - i wish i could do the same.

I apologize if i've offended anybody, especially Selena, it wasn't my intention. All I was trying to do was point out that you can stereotype and generalize anything, that doesn't make it true.
Although I do sympathize for her loss, I really do, I felt that I got part of the blame for something I had no part in.
YES, poisoning is a big problem in CY, but that doesn't mean every Cyp is queuing up to buy Lanate so they can poison animals in reckless abandon.
Yes, alcohol consumption is a problem in Britain, but that doesn't mean every Brit is an alcoholic.
Can you see my connection?

Okay I have had enough of all these Brits dissing Cyprus! If you don't like our country, get the hell out of it! If you have something wrong with it, don't go!

Brits have been killing animals in cold blood for centuries! Dogfighting, cockfighting and fox hunting! You Brits disgust me, your country disgusts me and your ignorance disgusts me! You are the most cold-hearted people in the world but you never admit it! All the evidence is provided but you always blame the other countries!

What I suggest you do, if you want your pets to be safe, is if you see any puddles, you must drink from it!

Oh and the people who shoot cats and dogs in Cyprus, are Turks, because Greek Cypriot people need cats to keep mice away and dogs for company.

Good day, but I hope you have a bad one.

In most civilised countries poisons are not for sale over the counter, and you would need a licence to purchase, alas in the trnc poisons are available over the counter to any dog hating person who wants to go on a killing spree, I have lived in many countries around the world, and have not seen as many deaths due to indiscrimanate poisoning as I have seen here, I thought over the years with edecation this would have changed, but sadly it has not ,
