When did Greece become Greek? When did Turkey become Turkish? What were they before their official establishment dates?

If Greece was established in 1834, and Turkey in 1923, then Cyprus was neither one nor the other before those dates. But everywhere you look on the island there is something that says loudly what it was and what it is. No need for any official certificates.

it's true. and if it wasn't the Turkish Army would have not been as successful. for two weeks the coupists foundered because they received no support from the "Greek" public. given that "they" were supposed to represent the vast majority of the island's population, what followed clearly is an act of contempt for the respect and grace of those Greeks who stayed because they believed in the Principals that Humanity values.
