:shock: It’s all news to VP! All these years he thought GCs woke up one day and unanimously decided to hate Turkey because they had nothing better to do!

Turkish troops landed Cyprus on a sunny peaceful day to save TCs from peaceful non-killer christian south cypriots.

Where does it say that Turkey’s job was to save Turkish Cypriots?

Turkey’s DUTY (in accordance with her signature) was to save ALL CYPRIOTS irrespective of their ethnicity or religion, from any outside danger such as that of the 15th July Greek overthrowing of the government of Cyprus and murder of 100 odd GC people who rushed to defend their president/country; under which Turkish Cypriots also lived but did not bother to lift a finger!

But instead of doing that, Turkey murdered even more Greek Cypriots… some 5,000 of them, and took measures that would deny many more thousands their homes for the last 35 years.

If Turkey came to save people then she was looking in the wrong place raiding villages from Kyrenia to Nicosia, because by the 20th of July when she landed on Cyprus there were 96 GCs dead, 97 coupists dead, and ZERO Turkish Cypriots dead!

No matter how much you do not like the answers, they remain valid and truthful answers. Once the question is asked there's no getting away from the answers.

Perhaps VP was referring to pre-1974.

I remember GCs in my village (albeit the younger ones) beginning to hate us in 1957-58. The older generation did not hate us then.

Well thought the question was posed in the present tense.

Anyway,my late grandmother lived in a back-water of a village (even though it is/was on the main road to A. Andreas) up near the top end of the Karpas. A very mixed village, she lived in amongst tissies, without probs, certainly nothing that she mentioned in her monthly airmails to us in London.

The problem back then up there was the daily struggle to put food on the table, things like eoka, tmt etc didn't get a look in up there.
