He was married to a French girl and later moved with her to Biarritz. Later he married a German lady after his divorce, moved to Germany and learned German. There were quite a lot of Greeks in Germany and he came back to Cyprus with the Greek accent - I would say he was quite a linguist.

I can't believe there are three wolof speakers here. So many silent Mauritanian Cypriots....
