Hey!

How come the Sheeted Dykes are on top of the Layered Gabbros?

Because in Cyprus the Dykes ride the Gabros!

It's hard to explain you... check the drawing.. is a typical ( and also hypotetical ) sequence of oceanic crust rising - still while I am writing - in Atlantic, Pacific and all oceans.


For an undisturbed oceanic crust I meant that in Cyprus today you can see the rock complex in the same tridimensional way as when the rocks took place, techically the same drawing.
I answer to D.T : the core of the oceanic sequence ( the "peridotite" ) is located in the uppermost of Mt. Olympo, to be simple....are like "onion leaves", the deeper are in the centre..

What is so unusual about moufflon spotting. I counted dozens of them around Stavros tis Psokas. At lambing time, if you keep your distance (minimum 200 meters) and are quiet and have a good pair of binocs you can see the newborn lambs too, and the foxes that try to eat them. There must be over 3000 moufflon now in Troodos.

My friend Andriko, from Panagia up in Troodos, shot a couple of those Mouflons with his shotgun and boy are they good eating.....yummy

Yes i have eaten the cy national symbol, with potatoes, in a thick stew with lemon and salt and pepper.....If you are a skoulou Paphiti its allowed, much like the native american indians can shoot endangered buffalo in the plains of north dakota....
