Also may just say Deniz, when saw the title of this thread, was put in mind of another '60s classic that poss you older chaps may recall. Don't know whether Bir had it in mind when he started the post.

It's the play Waiting For Godot by an English dramatist whose name escapes me.( Stoppard?... or is he american... really can't remember).

It's about a couple of old boys waiting in a park (or it may have been a cemetery) for a third party, this Godot chap. It's a much admired and highly praised play, but think it's boring. No one seems to know what it's about. Oh and Godot never turns up.

I was brought up singing IRA songs on my grandad's knee! It was all Dublin in the Green and poor ole Kevin Barry lol!

I bet they are singing all these oldies around Glastonbury even today.

*am a bit cheesed that my daughter is getting sunburned at Glastonbury and it is peeing down with rain here in Lca! Poor wench - all kitted up in her wellies and storm coat expecting the USUAL Glastonbury weather - she's had to buy a sunhat apparently!
