Soon they will find solution to Cyprus Turkish Airlines. Cyprus Turkish airlines issue is the part of the one game.Part of the game how they will privatised the national airwave of Turkish Cypriots.
Reactions are coming following yesterday’s decision by Turkey’s Aviation Authority to ground all Cyprus Turkish Airlines flights. Trade union HAVA-SEN which launched a shock strike action at the Ercan Airport starting from the early hours of this morning, described the latest developments concerning the fate of the CTA Company as ‘unacceptable’.
Union’s President Buran Atakan told the BRT newsroom that some flights of Pegasus Airlines were affected by their action.
He noted that the Union is carefully watching the developments on CTA.
The Minister of Public Works and Communications Minister Hamza Ersan Saner announced that the future of CTA will be determined after today’s meeting of the General Assembly.
He said that CTA passengers with tickets will be directed to other airlines starting today due to the cancellation of all flights.
Speaking to the BRT last night concerning the latest developments on the financially troubled CTA, Saner reminded the Turkish Civil Aviation Department had given CTA three months to hammer out a payment scheme for its debt worth 40 million dollars.
Saner also said that all CTA planes were parked at Ercan Airport last night.
Meanwhile, a crisis desk has been set up at the Cyprus Turkish Airlines to deal with the latest situation.
The Acting director of the airline Selim Altıncık said that their current priority was to make sure those passengers with CTA tickets are not negatively affected by the latest situation.
He said that since it was out of the question to rent planes because of the Turkish aviation authority’s decision, they were working to direct passengers with tickets to other airline companies.
Altıncık also said that necessary statements and announcements will be made later today.
