Turkey would discuss full troop withdrawal

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

'Demilitarisation' is different to removal of the Turkish occupation forces. Only the Turkish occupation is illegal. Cyprus has the right to bear arms and form alliances. Turkey cannot impose its will on a sovereign nation which is so small it poses no danger to any neighbours.

This is just another way of hanging on to the occupation and does not represent a serious initiative to restore peace and cordiality in the area..

Oracle agree with your comment above, however, I would see this as a compromise on the behalf of RoC government if it means unifying our people and our land. I would like Turkey also to agree that she will not threaten the soverignty of the Island in the future. Also the UN to guarantee that in case where Cyprus is threatened by any other nation that they will provide military support.

Well there you go!

Turkey had been planning an Invasion for decades, has imposed an occupation for decades more; and we would be happy to demilitarize because Turkey demands this and all for an "agreement" that she will never do it again!

Dreamer ... :)

This character must be an embarassment to TCs.

He is a pathetic, brainless teenager that Tcs other than some diaspora TCs don't care about he and likes at all...

I lived 18 years in Istanbul and visited many places in Turkey, have thousands of Turkish friends but never come across to an idiot like Runaway who calls himself a Turk but actually bears no charasteristics of a Turk or a even a "Turk". I can't understand those who bother to respond this idiot!

i need to lower myself to your idiotic level to retaliate to your foul mouth... but i won't do this... i'll let admin does his job...

Swearing in English is allowed and Turkish is not? Are you insane or what? Stay in your piç level.

Why are you so angry, runaway? What is it that drives you, makes you sound like a hateful, bitter person? I am sure you have a mother and father who loves you, friends who seek and enjoy your company, perhaps a wife and children who adore you...Why are you being so disagreeable here? Why do you have the need to provoke people all the time?// :?

Nerden çıktı bu? :D I have no reason to be angry. Türkiye is mine. So are KKTC and Azerbaijan. Hiç muhabbetim olmayan adam durup dururken bana İngilizce küfrederse ben de karşılık veririm. Daha önce de dediğim gibi İngilizce küfretmek serbest Türkçe etmek mi yasak?

Oracle in relation to your comment above. I do agree ..... and yes I am a dreamer ...... However with Downer as a UN representative and pushing for time frames I would be more worried than Turkey. I have lived the man he is a canaving, manipulative and lying prick. He would stop at nothing to have his name glorified, he cares nothing about GC's or TC"s for this matter. He wants to solve his way so his name can go in the Adelaide advertiser. he will sell Cypriots to the dogs if he has too.

He wants a time so he can split Cyprus in two.

if the end of the year is his aim is to say well we gave it a go, the GC's are unreasonable this situation has to stop partition is the answer.

He is a rich kid who always gets his way.

SO agreeing to demilitarisation is one way forward. And this has t be done with other measures to ensure the safety of TC's from GC's as they have real fears and GC's from Turkey as they have real fears.

Humanist, my dear. On the one hand you present a case of a ruthless opportunist intent on splitting Cyprus and on the other hand, you throw your arms up in the air and demand demilitarisation! Where's the sense in that? (Other than ideological!)
