Turkey would discuss full troop withdrawal

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Bir,

The silence from the GC side to Bagis' statements might simply be a result of the political coma which is induced by the sense of self importance, a state of affairs cultivated from way back.

It is symptomatic of political life in the RoC that the most incisive political commentary, one that strikes a cord with the man in the street, is written by a psychiatrist, not by professional journalists or politicians.

It will be so entertaining to watch our politicians in a post solution situation where they will have no Cyprus Problem to inflate them to the status of saviors.

What's new in Bağış's statement regarding demilitarization of Cyprus? Turkish officials have been speaking out this since 2004.

ANNAN PLAN

Article 8 Demilitarization

Cyprus shall be demilitarized, and all Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot forces, including reserve units, shall be dissolved, and their arms removed from the island, in phases synchronized with the redeployment and adjustment of Greek and Turkish forces.

This character must be an embarassment to TCs.

He is a pathetic, brainless teenager that Tcs other than some diaspora TCs don't care about he and likes at all...

I lived 18 years in Istanbul and visited many places in Turkey, have thousands of Turkish friends but never come across to an idiot like Runaway who calls himself a Turk but actually bears no charasteristics of a Turk or a even a "Turk". I can't understand those who bother to respond this idiot!

I am sure you have a mother and father who loves you, friends who seek and enjoy your company, perhaps a wife and children who adore you...Why are you being so disagreeable here? Why do you have the need to provoke people all the time?// :?

'Demilitarisation' is different to removal of the Turkish occupation forces. Only the Turkish occupation is illegal. Cyprus has the right to bear arms and form alliances. Turkey cannot impose its will on a sovereign nation which is so small it poses no danger to any neighbours.

This is just another way of hanging on to the occupation and does not represent a serious initiative to restore peace and cordiality in the area..

It would be suicidal for the RoC to demilitarise and get rid of weapons from the Island.

This would be an open invitation to any turk, oops, I meant invader to come and take us again freely.

Are you for real Insan, another reason why the Ankara Plan was rejected. Jesus, don't you people ever listen???

It is as Oracle said, you are the illegal occupiers, it is you that needs to leave. We are granted out self defence as a right.

What Insan doesn't mention above is the permanent posting of ELDYK and TURKDYK forces in Cyprus after the Annan Plan would have been signed.

Not really a demilitarisation then.
